Ice boats on Great Masurian Lakes.

In February 2009 Lake Niegocin hosted World Champinoship in Monotype Ice Boat racing. The boat's base was nearby village of Rydzewo. The monotypes are real classics of ice racing. These double-seated ice boats were very popular in the first half of 20th century but after some time they were replaced with modern constructions of DN class. In recent years the popularity of monotypes had suddenly risen - old boats are getting renovated and new ones are being built. With proper atmospheric conditions it is very possible that this February Rydzewo will once again welcome all monotypes fans.
