Eko-Marina project starts.

Construction of the biggest yacht port on the Masurian Lakes has just recently started in Giżycko, central point of the main sailing route. Value of this project is around €4.3 M. 50% of that sum comes from European Union, while the rest from the town's budget. This modern port will be able to admit 136 boats along with 168 cars and 4 buses on its parking. Buildings in the port area will contain sailor shops, conference rooms, workshops and other useful facilities. The construction is scheduled to be complete in October 2010.
